Family Reopens The Granary Restaurant In Newtown, Powys

The Granary in Parker's Lane reopened its doors on Saturday, December 14, following an opening night which saw friends, local business owners and the town mayor and deputy mayor enjoy tasty nibbles and drinks inside the cosy Grade II-listed 17th century timber-framed restaurant.

The cherished eatery in the heart of Newtown has made a comeback in time for the festive season under the new ownership of Emma and Tony Norris, alongside their son Tim.

The December menu, created by the family, offers mains such as steak, pan fired salmon and chicken breast, and Thai green curry, with desserts including chocolate mousse and honeycomb, white chocolate panna cotta, poached pear and sticky toffee pudding.

Little Gem

"I went for Sunday lunch with my wife and her mum after we found this little gem tucked away at the bottom of parkers lane, we had starters and main course both really tasty and the gravy on my pork was to die for, no room for a pudding I'm afraid though. Overall a great little find with good service and great food, we will come again."
